Cédric Waldburger invests in early-stage technology companies through his venture capital firm Tomahawk.VC. Prior to that, he built companies in the agency, consumer and blockchain sector. Most recently, he co-founded DFINITY, the Silicon Valley unicorn. Cédric has a master’s degree in electrical engineering from ETH Zurich and HKUST in Hong Kong, a passion for difficult riddles and decluttering everything that’s not essential – he has lived without an apartment for several years and only owns 64 things, all of which are black. On YouTube he regularly vlogs about his life experiments and insights into his life as an investor.

With Tomahawk.VC, Cédric Waldburger invests in early-stage companies that think and act global-first from the very start. The 31-year-old shares his own experience with founders which he has gained over the last 18 years as an entrepreneur – especially in the area of building distributed teams worldwide.
Cédric is an avid minimalist, has lived in Berlin, London, Hong Kong, New York, Miami and Palo Alto in recent years and owns only 64 things. Since he traveled so often and rarely stayed in a place for more than four days in a row, he gave up his apartment for more than three years and lived in AirBnbs, hotels and with friends.
Prior to Tomahawk.VC, Cédric helped build companies worldwide in the agency, consumer and blockchain sectors. The last company he co-founded is Silicon Valley-based unicorn DFINITY, valued at around USD 2 billion which has received investments from world-renowned venture capitalists like Andreessen Horowitz. Previously, he built Sendtask.io, a company that operates with a completely remote team.
Today, Cédric is married and currently lives near Zurich. Besides Tomahawk.VC, he likes to solve tricky riddles or to spend his weekends working on side projects.

Da er für einige Zeit so viel unterwegs war, dass er selten länger als vier Tage an einem Ort blieb, gab er für mehr als drei Jahre seine Wohnung auf und lebte in AirBnbs, Hotels und bei Freunden.
Vor Tomahawk.VC hat Cédric selber weltweit Firmen im Agentur-, Consumer- und Blockchainbereich mit aufgebaut. Die letzte Firma, die er mitgegründet hat, ist DFINITY aus dem Silicon Valley, die bei rund CHF 2 Milliarden bewertet ist und Investitionen von weltbekannten Risikokapitalgebern wie Andreessen Horowitz erhalten hat. Zuvor hat er mit Sendtask.io auch bereis eine Firma aufgebaut, die komplett ohne festen Standort oder Büro funktioniert, und teilt Erfahrungen daraus mit jungen Gründern.
Heute ist Cédric verheiratet und lebt aktuell in der Nähe von Zürich. Neben Tomahawk.VC löst er gerne knifflige Rätsel aller Art oder vertieft sich am Wochenende gerne ins Programmieren einer neuen App.
