[Video] Just Arrived In Hong Kong!

This is a quick one. After 12 hours on the plane and a six-hour time difference, it was already evening when we arrived in Hong Kong – time for dinner and a few drinks (a.k.a. glasses of water) in Lan Kwai Fong. I asked a friend of mine of his first impression about Hong Kong. He didn’t expect they hand out syringe alcohol shots on the streets. Hope you enjoy this one, especially if you’ve never been to or seen the city before!

Video Transcript

I just enjoyed a quick pre-flight shower. It’s super convenient and now it’s about 10-15 minutes to our boarding. Just gonna wait here in the lounge, chill, upload a bit more footage and then make our way to the aircraft. And we’re ready for Hong Kong! Cheers!

(Cédric): Elena, what’s your first impression of Hong Kong?

(Elena): Adventurous. It’s very, very adventurous.

After we had dinner and a few drinks, it was time for bed. But there was one final obstacle…

Hong Kong has these escalators from almost by the water to the mid levels. And they make it extremely convenient to get to the top. But they don’t seem to be on during the night… So it’s a good workout.

Why I love Hong Kong

Hong Kong is one of my favorite places on Earth. The reason? It’s so diverse. As you can see in the video, it’s much more developed and accommodating for tourists than the rest of China. But apart from that, you’re always close to nature. You can go from a beautiful park seemingly detached from civilization to one of the most technologically advanced districts on the planet in less than an hour. Oh, and there’s also the Pacific Ocean.

I’ll get more footage uploaded in the coming days. As always, looking forward to your comments and I’ll talk to you soon!
